AIS Releases PC-based Control Systems Designed for Open Control Platforms featuring the Intel Atom Processor and IEC 61131 Programming Standard

IRVINE, CA -- American Industrial Systems Inc. (AIS), has introduced a PC-Based Control System line for industrial automation and PLC control supporting the IEC 61131 Programming Standard.  The Industrial Panel PC’s feature the Intel® Atom Z series processors providing fanless, reliable performance with minimal power consumption.  Currently the PC Control Systems are available in 5.7” to 15.4” dimensions, and are touchscreen enabled, giving users a HMI terminal for operators to monitor, control, and program data into the system.  The all-in-one PLC terminal is pre-designed in available in several configurations for drop-in replacement or new deployment applications.

The AIS embedded PC’s feature a rugged steel housing and have the available options of a IP65 sealable Aluminum Bezel for excellent water/dustproof protection; enabling the systems to operate in the most harsh environments.  The fanless Intel® Atom Processor provides excellent cost vs. performance ratio in additional to exemplary reliability in the field.

AIS’ industrial grade panel pc’s are designed to be reliable, long lifetime support and availability, high performance, easily programmable and accessed supporting a non-proprietary-hardware based solution.   Additional options such as sunlight readable Transflective films, privacy films, touch screens, wide voltage range boards, Power over Ethernet (PoE), wide temperature range modules, and shock/vibration enhancements are all but a few of AIS’ line of enhancement technologies to cater the display to your exact application requirements.
