AIS Releases a Low Cost 7” Touch Screen Operator Interface Terminal Featuring the Energy-Efficient Intel® Atom™ Processors for Machine Control & Monitoring and SCADA Applications

IRVINE, CA -- American Industrial Systems Inc. (AIS), introduces a 7” Operator Interface Terminal PC designed for Industrial Automation, Control & Monitoring, and SCADA applications. The HMI Touch Panel PC features feature the Intel® Atom processor, providing fanless, reliable performance with minimal power consumption. The latest Windows 7 operating systems are supported by the Touch screen operator interface PC. A widescreen LED backlit LCD display and touch screen Human Machine Interface (HMI) are integrated into the system allowing users to control, monitor, and program directly from the information terminal. The Touchscreen Panel PC can be integrated directly into your PAC, PLC, DCS, factory SCADA systems, operator terminals and automation applications.

The AIS embedded PC features a compact rugged steel housing and the aluminum front bezel is sealed to IP65 standards for excellent water/dustproof protection; enabling the systems to operate in the adverse conditions. Built-in communication ports support RS-232, RS-485, and Ethernet for Modbus or Modbus/TCP protocols enabling it to connect to a variety of control systems. CAN-bus connections are also available for industrial machinery, agriculture, and transportation applications. The 7” HMI control panel features a 800x480 pixel widescreen resolution LED panel which provides extended screen area and visibility. Crisp and sharp images are displayed through the LED backlit screen while consuming only a fraction of the power compared to traditional backlights.
